Robert Orr
I have always been an aeromodeller - 1st model Keil Kraft flying scale Chipmunk at age 11yrs old. After more or less binning this (anyone ever tried to build one of these? - almost impossible) went on to various rubber powered sports models, free flight with Ed Baby " DC Dart, loads of control liners (biggest engine PAW 3.5cc that I still have after 44years).

Had a spell off during late 1960s " early 1970s then started on radio control - 1st aeroplane a Tyro Major with my non controlled PAW 3.5 (quickly bought an OS35 for this)

Now trying to put more time into the hobby. I enjoy building as much as flying and would like to do more scale modelling - not too detailed. At the moment I have the following more or less airworthy - Epp Kerfuffle, Seamaster, Acro Wot, Epp Hawk slope soarer, Cambrian fun fighter Me109, electric glider. Projects - Balsa Craft Spitfire almost complete but now needing to upgrade from original 600etc drive (anyone any ideas?), Flair Black Magic engine removed thinking of electric conversion (again anyone any ideas), Goldburg Piper Cub still to start.

More of Robert's Loch Insh pictures (2002 and 2006) are on the Loch Insh Splash-In / Highland Splash-In Photos page.

Low Boy

Low Boy, OS35 powered with Sanwa radio. Had loads of flights but laid up at moment. Lots of dead sticks as the engine had a problem where it lost power then stopped after 8 minutes.

Gangster

Gangster, Super Tigre 61 powered with Fleet Radio - met its end to the north of the field - maybe interference from the microwave beam.

Acro Wot

My Acro Wot has been flying since 2001 but had a major repair after bad crash. Photos taken after 3rd test flight after repairs. Super Tigre 61 powered, with JR radio gear. Solar film on wings and glass cloth fuselage.

Cambrian ME109 Fun Flier

Cambrian ME109 Fun Flier, OS25 engine, Fleet radio gear. Has been flying for a few years - had a bad crash due to a dodgy hand launch, hence the rather fancy paintwork mid fuselage.
